GIF Animator 5 is not listed as being compatible with Windows Vista or newer (7, 8, and Windows 10). Corel discontinued GIF Animator, so no newer versions will be released. Some people have successfully installed and used GIF Animator 5 on Vista, while others have not. The reason it works for some and not others is not clear.
If you are experiencing issues with Windows Vista and products not listed as Vista Ready, there is not likely much the fellow users at this board can do. Your best bet is to install these non-Vista Ready products on a Windows XP machine.
Personally, I have had no issues so far running GA 5 on a Win 7 Home Premium (64-bit) AMD A4 machine. It runs fine with or without the option of Windows XP compatibility. I know of quite a few people who are running Ulead GIF Animator 5 successfully on all versions of Windows, including 10.
