How to Upload Images

For several years we had to use a hosting service to share images, screenshots for tutorials, ect., on this web board. However with the current version of the web board software, we are now able to upload attachments, mainly images. There are some that don't know how this is done, so I've put together some screenshots to show how this is done.

First make sure your images are no larger than 800pxs on it's largest side. Images so large that they break the layout design of the board, may be deleted by moderators or admin personnel. Once your images are ready to be uploaded just do the following:

When you are replying to a post or starting a new topic, and want to include an image/screenshot, look to the lower-left for 2 tabs, one will say Upload attachment, click on it. On that tab you will see the button for browsing your computer for your image to upload.

Once you have selected your image to upload, press the Add the file button.

Once your image has completed uploading, the buttons will change to, Place inline and Delete file. You will see your file listed between the File Comment box and the buttons.

Without doing anything more, your image will display at the end of your post. However what you may wish to do is have your image appear at a certain point in your post. To do this place the cursor where you want the image to appear and press the Place inline button. The forum will automatically insert the proper bbcode into your post for your image.

Once your finished typing your post, you should preview your post, before submitting it. This will allow you find mistakes and also see how your image is being displayed. If it is too large, there will be horizontal scroll bars below it. No one likes having to scroll sideways to read an entire topic. So please do not post large images, it is not necessary to show what it is you're having problems with.
