zPerspector in ASP 1.1.0.30 for Nikon D800

Post by pekkal »

Has anybodey (else) noticed issues with zPerspector with the most recent ASP version and very large files?

I have Nikon D800 and I've had the issue some batch output jobs taking very long time. possibly forever. I believe this only happens when I have zPerspector applied to D800 raw output batch using ASP 1.1.0.30, and when the output file size is large. I never had the issue with D700, and I am pretty sure the previous official (not Beta) ASP ran OK with my D800.

While writing this note I've had batch output for one picture ongoing for ½h or so...

Corel folks: I have submitted an error report...I'd like to update it but I have no link to it.

Regards,
pekkal

I have the problem with arw-files and a Sony RX 100, using AfterShot vers.: 1.2.0.7 and zPerspector_2.0.1_WML. Compare my posting http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 30#p281983

hi,

even if it took more time than expected, i finally can offer an update of zPerspector with improved stability (please provide information if you still discover some stability problems with this plugin).

changelog:
  • stability improvement
  • integration in 'asPluginManager'
the package is available for all three platforms under following link...

While zPerspector_v2.1.1_WML.afzplug works a lot better with batch processing, there is a bug with the grid changing the rotation, but it looks like it doesn't influence the batch result. Please see the attachment.

I am pretty sure, it doesn't influence the jpg-output. But it is very confusing to see all the lines. I never saw this with earlier versions. If you think, I should check, I can try it with another linux pc with a different graphics adapter, but both are Nvidia. It depends on the photo and the amount of the rotation, but it could be a lot more confusing than shown with the sample.

The grid can be seen in rendered photos under certain circumstances. Unfortunately I am not sure, when. It looks like, rotate doesn't influence it wiht PEF, but if you correct the 4 corners, it happens.

Edit: An Sony-ARW-file shows the grid with rotate only too!

Thanks a lot, if you want a sample raw-file, let me know. It happens here always, It doesn't help to set to grid to 1 from 256 (default). Changing the grid value doesn't create a visible grid. Rotation and "changing the corners" creates an ugly grid and the grid changes depending on the value. Resetting zPerspector removes the grid.

Edit: Simply enabling zPerspector with the checkbox without modifying any values shows the grid.
