I have crashes in ASP - dont really know why - It seems to appear only with tif-files and only if I apply a special zText preset, but also here not always ...

last line in AfterShotPro.log : "...66069.378: Qt has caught an exception thrown from an event handler. Throwing
exceptions from an event handler is not supported in Qt. You must
reimplement QApplication::notify() and catch all exceptions there."

does anybody know what this means?

did you try to reproduce the crashes with no plugin installed?
did you then try to reproduce the crashes with only zText installed?
if it then still crashes with zText only it would be good if you could send me the preset you have this problem with.

appears only with tiff and only when applying zText - did not try zText with no other plugin installed - but I will test it soon

Thx for the update of zText (update v2.3.0)
it works in beta 1.1.0.30 but is it true is doesn't work anymore in the stable version 1.0.1?

i made a small update again, that should fix the issue mentione above. zText should now load correctly with the latest beta version as well as with the latest stable version 1.0.1.x.
additionally i introduced the integration into 'asPluginManager'.

Thanks for the wonderful plugin.
I would like to know if it is possible to have the flowing options:
1- expand the menu for customized presets to include personalized text, alignement, color, etc. "©2013\nArtist_name" ... I always use similar messages (copyright, project, website, etc.) ... maybe have a default settings so the text is always there the same way. or have some options to save the setup and apply to other photos based on setting or profile.
2- have a color option to auto balance the text color so it will work well on both light and dark backgrounds (maybe outline, emboss, inverted colors, or similar) ... probably having same text with 2 fonts one on top of the other would work (one white, the other black).
3- have possibility to do multiple texts and placements. (website on left, title in center bottom, copyright on right, etc.)

I meant these comments as constructive, because I do like the tool and would like to see it grow.

Found an answer to my own question.

we can add one text per layer. This is nice.

I am attempting to use zTEXT as an output preset to add a © statement to my output files from ASPro v.1.2.0.7 and have yet to be successful ... APPLE iMAC27, OS X v.10.8.5

I have ASPro v.1.0.1.10 installed to APPLE mini-MAC OS X v.10.8.5 --- zTEXT output preset works perfectly to add my © text to the output files from ASPro v.1.0.1.10

I've not found any mention of problem with zTEXT as I am experiencing. I use only the iMAC27 for photo editing.

I will appreciate any help or hints to solve.

so, if understand correctly, your problem is that your preset does not work anymore with the ASP version 1.2.0.7, right?

which versions of the plugins are you using?
you have to update to the latest versions of zFrame and zShadow as well...

you really need the latest versions of all plugins zFrame, zShadow, zText - for the positioning in the imaging pipeline all these tools are depending on each other...
