trouble inserting quicktime mov format

Post by Russel Hicks »

When I insert quicktime mov format material from my kodak camera into a slide show the program does the following things
1.when you preview the slide show all the clips play perfect
2. When I burn the slideshow to dvd and try to watch it the still pictures play perfect but the quicktime.mov section just freeze.
How can I change the format or handle the clips in a better way.

Problem Inserting Quicktime Movies

Post by beachelle »

I am a new user with no experience, but I too am having this exact problem inserting quicktime movies. I see from other posts that others have this problem. I need help! Does anyone have a solution? I'd certainly appreciate any advice.

Hi,
You can only use pictures in a slideshow.
You can use MOV files as a separate video on the timeline.
You can combine them but need to learn how MF4's exporting process works.

The program views the MOV file properly but doesn't play it back
because of the framerate and the codec involved.

You can convert the MOV files from a Kodak camera.
I need to load some from my camera and do the conversion again.
Can't remember the process. It's a 2 step process to convert from MOV to mpeg video and you need to be running MF4.

Will have to post how to do this after I find my notes and confirm the 2 step process.
