Windows Movie Maker comparison

Hi - I'm looking for something that can make a slideshow with a feature set comparable to Windows Movie Maker but that can actually burn to DVD properly and not crash every other time you load it (WMM tends to crash / hang a lot).

I have some questions about features I see missing from PictureShow:

Is it possible to add text that scrolls across a picture?
How about beginning and ending credits?
Can multiple audio files be made to over lap each other on fade in / out?

Would VideoStudio be better suited for my needs?

Those features are all available in VideoStudio 9, not PS4.
