I'm trying to get media off of a DVD that was sent to me by a client. The format says it is a VTS - PowerDVD file. I'm trying to turn the media into an AVI or MOV file so I can edit it on a Media 100 844x system. Can you help me?
Thanks
Steve

I assume that the DVD is not copy-protected or otherwise copyright. If it is, I cannot help you because this forum does not permit breach-of-copyright acts to be described
WS2 is not the best software to do the job. I would recommend you use MF4 or MSP8, which both have a much more sophisticated DVD>MPG capture feature. Both have free trial downloads.

Further to the reply by Devil.
If you are still having problems importing the DVD then the VOB files are in fact MPEG's and a little trick is to rename the extension from VOB to MPG and then open them with an editor such as MSP8 or VS9.
Failing that type "DVD to AVI" into your favourite search engine like Google or Ask Jeeves.
Not much good if the disc is copy protected though and as Devil Pointed out we are not into piracy.

Renaming VOB to MPG extensions will work ONLY in the simplest cases without any advanced features, such as sub-titles, alternative audio streams, advanced chaptering/menus etc.
