Blocking just Previewing Project

Post by San_kev »

Hello
This problem just started happening in my last videos. I download my clips from my minyDV camara JVC. using Firewire, evey clip comes OK. even when previwed in WindowsMedia, WinAmp and any other player; while editing the clips still clear, when I move the cursor from the timeline the clips looks clear, even when I play just the "CLIP" looks Ok; BUT... whe I click to Play the PROJECT to preview, every scene that the camara or someone MOVES the clip plays 'blocky' no pixalation but rather long horizontal bloques. Here is an example: http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b145/AmpyO/jerky.jpg
Image

Every project I've done before always was like this:

NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps)
Microsoft AVI files
24 Bits, 720 x 480, 4:3, 29.97 fps
Lower Field First
DV Video Encoder -- type 1
PCM, 48.000 kHz, 16 Bit, Stereo

Is any reason why this is happenig, during previewing. The funny thing, when I burn the DVD, the Movie is CLEAR...!
But is annoying work with this "blocking"
I have a Pentium4 3GHz - 1GB RAM - ATI Radeon 9600SE 128MB - WinXP Pro.

Anyone have seen or experienced this?

Thank You.

San_kev,

Go to File->Preferences and check what Playback method is set to. Is it Instant Playback? If so, then your playback will not look at good as Playback is set to High Quality...

This is normal. You are looking at a quick preview.
When you render the file, consider the time it takes to render!
