I don't use medea studio so I don't know which formats it imports but if you create a coloured text on a white background and save it a s a .jpeg, click on "Options" on the save dialogue box.

You can then set the transparent colour (white) using an eye dropper.

The same works with .gifs.

The options to set a transparent background on a .jpg file is definitely there, however, it doesn't do it. The only two web formats that I know of that can have transparent backgrounds are .gif and .png. I just tried it using text on a white background, set the options to save with white as the transparent color, and when re-opening the file, the background is still white.

I don't know what types of file extensions can be imported into that other program but.. it's easy enough to give it a try.

Create or select your objects, if you have multiple objects right click and select combine as single object. Right click again and select export object, select to file in the left part of the dialog box and selection & image in the right.

Save the file as a TGA making sure the "save selection" box is checked.

From Media Studio Pro select insert>image and drop it on the overlay track labled V1. Right click the image on the track and select overlay options. Next to the type select alpha, this will give you a perfect overlay.
