Greetings,
When inserting a DVD/DVD-VR scene and playing it back, the video plays properly but there is no sound.
When inserting a video (MPG for instance) both the sound and the video are playing correctly.
What settings should I check to get the sound when inserting DVD/DVD-VR?
Much thanks,
Benoit

This first setting to check is your VERSION of VideoStudio and if it supports Dolby Audio.
Usually dvd's recorded in a dvd recorder the audio is Dolby 2.0 (stereo).
Some dvd recorders/camcorders will allow you to record lpcm audio.
This is usually an option when recording in the HQ (High_Quality) mode.
As far as I know all versions of VS support lpcm audio.
Hope this helps,
MD

It does NOT naturally support Dolby AC-3. You had to buy a plug-in which cost $29.95, although there was a downloadable filter which would at least let you capture Dolby. But you could not then edit it or produce a disc using Dolby. Not sure if that plug-in still exists, but for an extra $20, you can upgrade to VS9, which supports Dolby and is a better program too.
