Poor reading of DMF 3.5 files with DMF 4.0

I have a collection of MF 3.5 projects with video, photos, bg music, and lots of chapers. I upgraded to 4.0 and now when I pull up my old 3.5 files they don't work correctly.

Here are the problems I've encountered:
- Tells me video files have been modified and asks if I want to link to new ones (but they haven't)
- Tells me audio mp3 files have been modified and asks if I want to link to new ones. When I try to re-link, I can't because it tells me they are not video files (they were never video files!)

..and the most tragic part:
- All my chapters are no longer existant. It willl take many hours to re-identify my chapters and recreate the sub-menus.

Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution?
