Capturing from Sony Camcorders

hi, just one noobie question, does videostudio 9 only accept video capture of camcorders thru firewire? can it be possible to use usb2? thanks guys...

I also have a DCR-HC21 MiniDV camcorder it works fine with VS9 via IEEE1394 (firewire / ilink) but I found out that there is something in the software that came with the camera (picture package it sucks lol). If it is not installed the camera does not work so I had to reinstall it. There must be some device drivers with picture package. You could also hook it up and try it with Windows Movie Maker. One more thing you are plugging the AC cable in right it will not work off of the battery?
