where is Multi-trim clip info?

Post by rguthrie »

Does anyone by chance know where the information is located for multi-trimmed clips and libraries made with the Library Manager? I had to do a reinstall today because when I uninstalled the trial version of VideoGraphics Lab it took the MPEG encoder with it.

Thanks,
Ron G.

Hi Ron,

I read your post the other day, and looked to see if I could find where this info is stored. Just looked again.
Sorry I can't locate a file that stores this info. It must be in a .DAT file as those are jumbled up machine code, which I can't decipher with Notepad. I went through several .INI and .XML files to see if it gave some hint of libraries. I have 2 different desktops set up on my computer, one which I use for editing. It is that one that I have different libraries. So I checked under the Local Settings for each User for a possible different or more files, no luck..

I have to leave for work now, sorry I couldn't provide an answer...

Happy New Year...

Ron,

I've been searching in vain as well, wondering why Ulead would want to "hide" that information. I figured if anyone knew, it would be either you, Ken, Andrew, and a couple of the other guys who spend their time answering questions here.

Happy New Year to you too!

Glad you found it. I opened that file up several times. I could decipher some file paths, however nothing jumped out as leading to a library file.

Good going Ron..
