Make disk using original bit rate?
I occasionaly have a file that's already the right size to fit on a disk & I just wish to add chapter point & a menu.I s there any way to set DVD MF 4 so that it ouputs a file using the existing bitrate? I know that I can go in and alter settings but this would not be necessary if I had the option to just use existing bit rate.

Under the GEAR icon is the option "Do Not Convert Compliant Mpeg2 Files".
Make sure that is checked ON and if your source material is Dvd compliant it will not be converted and re-rendered.
Even if the source material has audio tracks of Dolby 5.1 they will end up on the dvd and work.
This is all providing the source material is already dvd compliant and you don't perform any editing to the video. You can add chapters, create menu & burn no problem.
If MF does have to re-render the source material it is rendered to the video settings that you have the "Project Properites" set to.
Hope this helps,
