Motion Menu always active - grrrr!

Post by gastro »

Hi guys,

Anyone figured out a way to NOT have motion menu on by default?
If I forget to uncheck it I'm rewarded with long author times.

The only way I can see to do it is to open a video file (so that you can get to the next page where the 'Motion Menu" option is, deselect it, then bo "Back" and delete the clip, then go to properties and save settings.

When you open MF you then have to select "Existing project" and select the one you saved.

Seems a bit convoluted if you ask me. Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Where the MF configuration files are located there is a file called
DVDMFEnc.ini
To have motion menus not selected I use the following setting on my system.

MotionMenuCheck=0

The file is located under a hidden directory, do you know where this
directory is?
You have to enable "Show Hidden Folders" to naviagate there.
This is the directory on my system where the config files are for MF3.

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Ulead DVD MovieFactory\3.0

Make sure to BACKUP any configuration files before editing them or MF3
may not start correctly.

After I downloaded and installed MF4 I edited the same
configuration file.
On my system it doesn't work for MF4, does for MF3.

Changing the setting in the configuration file doesn't seem to
affect the motion menu checkbox with version 4. On mine it always stays
checked on.
Maybe there's another config file that MF4 is using in the user_name
directory(s).
I made the changes in the <all users> directory(s).
