changing default capture bit rate VS9?

Recently upgraded to VS9 from 7 and all is well save for one annoyance. The capture bit rate defaults to 8Mbps each time I open pgm or return to "Capture" within pgm. VS7 always remembered that I prefer to capture TV video at 4Mbps and retained that setting. Any way to make VS9 remember?

I use ADS Instant DVD USB2 and capture to DVD format. I must click "options", "capture properties" and manually change the bit rate back to 4Mbps each time I return to the "Capture" tab. I've searched with no result and apologize if I've missed a trick.

I have an Ati AiW 128 capture card.
Using VS9 I do not see the problem you describe.

I select Capture and DVD as the format and Video Studio uses the previous settings.

The capture bitrate does NOT revert to 8000.

I have the main patch installed and the burner engine updated.
