cannot capture video (no display on the capture screen)

Recently purchased videostudio 9 and Video Xpress (ADS) to capture video from a VCR. When all is connected and I select Capture, the capture screen flashs Green a few times and then goes blank (nothing displays).

My system is a Compaq EVO N620 c laptop, 1GB RAM, 32GB Free space, Pentium M processor, Windows 2000 Professional SP4.

Are my settings wrong? Do I have the wrong equipment?

Could be, maybe not, what are your settings? Other system spec's?

You might want to check your Capture Source setting, I'm no expert, but this might be the problem. Also, to get the best capture quality from a VHS source, you should connect your VCR to your capture card/device with an S-video cable. Then you want to choose S-video as your Capture Source.
