No audio in VS7

I burned some video using a DVD recorder. The device created VOB files on a DVD+RW. The clips have video and audio when viewed using PowerDVD. When I capture these in VS7 using the Ulead DVD-VR function so I can edit the clips, the audio is not captured. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Most likely the DVD has Dolby AC-3 audio. VS7 cannot deal with AC-3 at all, period. VS 8 could deal with it with a $30 plug-in. In you upgrade from VS7 to 9 for $50, VS9 has a native capacity to handle AC-3.
