We willl start with an image that contains the text to scroll. you can create this using PhotoImpact or your favorite image editor. I create an image that is 1024 pixels wide and has a margin of at least 500 pixels on both top and bottom (see this image for an example).
In VideoStudio, do the following:
1- Import the image to the timeline.
2- On the Image tab to the left of the preview window, select Pan and Zoom, then click on Customize.
3- Resize and move the starting position window as desired. Look at the zoom ratio.

4- Click the End tab and enter the same zoom ratio in the text box. Move the ending position window to the desired position, making sure that the line connecting the starting position and ending position is straight. Hit OK.

5- Select the Attribute tab to the left of the preview window. Check the box to distort clip and then the box to show grid lines.

6- In the four corners of the clip, there will be green boxes. Drag these to distort the clip so that the top is narrow and the bottom stays wide.

7- Adjust the image duration so that the text scrolls at a readable rate.
That's it! Now you can add other clips to the project or save a video file for later use.[/img]
