32-bit BMP with Alpha Channel on PI11?

Does PI11 support 32-bit bmp files with alpha channel information? I can't seem to find anything in a rudimentary search about this. I only saw support for alpha channel on PNG files. If not, are there any plans to support this.. ever? Thanks.

It looks like PI11 doesn't save alpha fo BMP. I don't know if it reads alpha from BMP- no file to test.

As for future support- I don't know, but we would welcome stable software that performs in the first place...
