Hello,
Any help would do.
I'm trying to put a narration is a vs9 project. I installed a microphone. I clicked the Record Voice icon in audio. After finishing the narration, I clicked stop. I saw a bar with .wav extension placed in the voice timeline.
Here's the problem. When I place the project, there is no voice narration.
So I went to the directory where the file was placed. I clicked the wav file and no sound.
Can anybody help with this problem?
Happy New Year.

Hi Zebra1057,
When you first click on the Record button in VS9, you should get a small pop-up box that has a horizontal meter. Before recording you should be able to test your input volume. If the audio is being picked up by the computer, the meter should fluctuate, and change colors to reflect the level.
If that's not happening, try clicking on the speaker located in the Windows System Tray (lower right of window, where the time and other tasks are displayed). This will open the Master Volume dialog box. Click on options>properties. This will open another box. Now you should see 2 Radio Selection buttons, Playback and Recording. If Playback is selected then your microphone will not be active. Change it to Record.
Also check to see if the Microphone volume control is muted or turned way down.
You should be able to record narration in VS9 now.
