Ulead 8 - 9: doesn't work!

hi to all,

I have installed Ulead Video Studio 8 and, after reboot, I've tried to run the program. After the first spash page the program stops

I unistalled the program and then I installed Ulead Video Studio 9 and it did the same problem

anyone can help me?

Could you update your profile with your system specifications.
When the program stopped were there any error messages.

What was the source of your program installation, a downloaded version on your hard drive or a purchased CD?

Win Xp SP2, nvidia Geforce 6600, firewire port on board

the source is a purchased CD

Hi Vectorsigma,

As sjj1805 stated Please fill in your system information, by clicking on the Profile at the top of the page.

When you install Video Studio, are you getting any error messages? Like CRC errors?
Do you have any other applicatons/software like Nero, Sonic DVD, Pinnicle, running that maybe conflicting with VS? How many processes are running when you try to run VS? How about background applicatons, such as instant messenger apps, Ipod or PDA, anti-virus, indexing or update services?
This sounds like a system problem, where VS needs the resources to run, however your system refuses to yeild, thus shuts down VS...

Just some suggestions to start looking...

there are: nero, nod32, daemon tools, outlook express, emule

i have installed Xp a month ago
