SHUT DOWN THE PC WHEN IM GOING TO DO A DVD COMPILATION - V.4

ULEAD 4 WITH LAST UPDATE...I DO SOME DVDS ALL THE TIME, BUT NOW WHEN I GOING TO DO A DVD, THE PROGRAM ONLY CONVERT ONE VIDEO AND SHUT DOWN THE PC, I DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT HAPPEND, BUT I REALLY REALLY SAD...BECAUSE I LOVE MOVIE FACTORY.

Please DON'T SHOUT at us, we don't work for Ulead, so it's not our fault...(or your caps lock is on)

Now with that out of the way, lets get to resolving your problem.

1. Go to your Profile and fill in the System information. That way we have some of the information that will be needed to troubleshoot why your MF4 shuts down your PC.
   

   I do some DVDS all the time, but now when I going to.....

2. What has changed on your system?
   Generally if a program has worked previously, then suddenly it stops working properly, it has to do with a system change, like new software, hardware.
3. What format are you trying to convert From and To. In other words. what are the project properties?
4. Are there Background Applications running?
   Antivirus, instant messenger, indexing services, Internet/Network connections, can interfere with DVD authoring/Video editing programs, which might cause them to hang, or even crash. If you have them running in the background try disabling them.
   Since I don't have a dedicated computer for editing, I have a special Hardware Profile set up for editing. Only essential processes are running.
5. Is your system fragmented?
   Having parts of files scattered all over the hard drive can make it more difficult for the program to run smoothly. Video is one the most demanding processes placed on a computer system. Try defragmenting your hard drive to see if that may help.

That is a start. I'm sure once you provide more information, the experts will jump right in and guide you along the way to resolving this..

2.- nothing has changed in my system...only new soft is ipod soft or quiktime...and all i remove

3.- from MPG2 & M2V...TO DVD
i select some videos with mpgs and the program first convert de videos to vob, but in the first video the pc shout down

4.- no background applications running, only kaspersky anti-virus

5.- i`m going to defragmented the pc
