Is PS4 trial version missing features? And only 14days?

Post by fherbert »

Hi, I'm looking at PS4 on the trial version.
1. The download page states it works for 30 days (which I thought would be good as I could play with it over Chrissy) but now, after only 14 days it says LAST DAY!!?! There goes my trial period without much of a try...

2. When I do make a trial pictureshow, I accept the restriction to 10 photos, but there is no way to edit/select transitions for each photo individually, decorate the slides (except for text), no custom panning, no themes.. am I missing something here? I cant even see how you are supposed to do it in the instructions/help.

These two 'restrictions' have made it very hard to evaluate the software as I dont know if this is the way the software is, or if it is just dumbed down for the trial.

Can someone enlighten me on what it can do?

Hi,

Re: 1) I'm not sure about time restriction. It does state "30 days" on the trial download page but I believe they've changed it to 15 days (and for whatever reason, not bothered to mention it). Be aware that if you opt to buy the registered version and then later request a refund, Ulead will probably deduct a portion of your original cost.

Re: 2) Yes... transitions, pan & zoom, audio, and other editing options can be assigned on a "per silde" basis from the "Audio & Effect" button in the "Sildeshow" tab of the "Step 2" UI.

Decorating of individual slides is done from the "Step 1" UI by selecting a slide and then clicking on the yellow duck icon ("decorate") at the top of the UI. Here you can select a Ulead "prop" object OR click the "use other props" button and select a personal image on your computer, i.e.; a clipart image, etc.

When you order the registered version, you'll receive a link to download your additional content (items that are NOT included with the trial version) which if I recall correctly will give you the full set of templates, transitions, pan & zoom profiles, etc.
