Help! can't get DVD to Play on Computer..works on player

Just finished burning some dvd shows and they work fine on a stand alone dvd player. They won't work on my DVD Rom player in the computer. The opening page or menu of the show comes up and runs in a loop but I can't seem to get it to start playing through the pictures. Any thoughts on what I should do or change on the next burn? Thank you. Bob
