According to the manual:
Add Transition Select to apply a transition
effect to your slideshow. You can only use
one per slideshow. Clear to remove transition
effects.
Are there any plans to allow different effects (other than Random) on each slide/image??

I would suggest that if you wish more complex transitions, it would be better to use an ad hoc software, such as CD & DVD PictureShow or even an NLE such as VS or MSP. WS2 does not have slide shows as a primary function or with sophisticated effects, just the basic. Of course, if you do as I suggest, you can still use WS2 for sophisticated authoring ot what you produced in the other software.
