I am using Movie Factory 3.0 SE with a Happaugge Video capture card (150) hooked up to Sony Hi8 Handicam, using composite cables. Each time I go to capture Video that I have recorded I am able to preview the video in the program but as soon as click on "capture video" I revceive the following erroe message:
"MPEG capture does not support HCW2 codec. Please change a suitable codec from video format selection. It is recommended to use codec (1) YUV codec first, then (2) RGB-24 codec.
Capture Failed. The created file is corrupt and usable. It will be automatically deleted.
[13011:5:3]"
I have updated all the patches and read all the user information and there is nothing that shows how to change this or what the cause of this error is. Please help as I am trying to make a DVD of my daughters Christmas concert to for the family.
