Man you can not believe how pissed I am right now!! When this first happened I emailed tech support and got a reply a couple days later. They wanted me to up load my receipt to their site then email them back with that info, never heard back on that story. So I payed Element 5 for a extended download. Erased 8 and 7 before installing that version. That was no better. So I called Ulead tech support waited for over 80 minutes to speak to someone!! They sent me a download link that took 1 hour 14 minutes to download even though I have Verizon FIOS 15/2 plan!! Got the same results as before. I just now checked the version that they sent me and it is TBYB version! For those of you that do not know what that is, it means TRY BEFORE YOU BUY. I will not be TBYB any more of Ulead's software after this screw up. Time for me to cut my loses and move on. I will be making one last phone call to Ulead.
Sorry for the rant and Thank You for the help

Here is what I found on the Ulead site about the different versions of MSP8:
http://www.ulead.com/msp/faq.htm#11

I went through the process that you did and received a link to the serial number activated verson on Oct 13,05

The file I downloaded was, MSP8_ESD_Full_E_8.00.0028.exe file size 134,370 KB

Here is the e-mail address I sent the request to: 'hydewu@ulead.com.tw'

Excuse my interference:
You said in an earlier post:
"My Hollywood FX, Burger Transitions, Boris FX, Extra Smartsound libraries were intact "

Is it possible to plugin or use Hollywood Fx with MSP?
Only with MSP8 or is it also possible with MSP7.3? I would like to use my Hollywood FX 4.5, but didn't find any way.

I was about to download and install the fix and update packs but now I think i'll hold off and wait. I have too many projects on my system to send to clients and this might be too much of a gamble.

To install Hollywood FX Gold 4.5 I had to manually copy and paste the plug in.
Hfx4GLD.vfx
from C:\Program Files\Pinnacle\Hollywood FX GOLD\Host Plugins\MStudio
To C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead MediaStudio Pro 8.0\Vfx_plug

For MSP7 copy the file to
C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead MediaStudio Pro 7.0\Vfx_plug
