After VS 9 no longer able to burn DVDs

Post by Jabone »

Hard title to create but let me explain. Before I installed Ulead VS9 I was able to burn DVD data disks - backup pictures, mail, etc.

Now I cannot. However, Ulead will burn movies all day long to DVD.

For burning data disks I simply used Xp Sp2's built in software. That no longer works. I have tried Nero 6, it too no longer works.

Essientially Xp believes the DVD is a CD with a fouled up format. 0 space available. Does not matter on the brand of media either. Updated the DVD drive firmware too.

I really don't want to uninstall VS, I'm working on a Christmas DVD for the family... Anyone seen that before? I originally had SV 9 SE installed, which came with a Ulead "helper" service. Perhaps it did not clean up on Uninstall?

Again, to be clear, Ulead will burn movie disks - no other software can now burn data disks. Leads me to believe the problem is a conflict with Ulead.
