Video Capturing

The monitor screen in Video Studio only works when actually capturing. Why is it not working when just playing the tape so we can see where we are on the tape and when to start capturing? Any Idea, anyone?

In File > Preferences, under Instant Playback Target down towards the bottom of the first screen, make sure you have selected 'Preview Screen' or at least 'Preview Screen and DV Camcorder' rather than 'DV Camcorder' or 'Dual Head Device'.

Capturing Video

Thanks Ken for the reply. I checked and the box is set to Preview Window.
Still there is no video in the window only sound when I play a tape.
