dvd burner issue

When I installed vs9 my dvd burner gave me an error, i installed the patch for the dvd burner and now the dvd burn will burn, but the dvd won't play? I have vs7 and things worked well?

Which of the possible reasons do you want us to guess first?

There cannot be any meaningful advice without any details from you. It's great that you use VS 7 but that is not enough info. Start by filling in your system data and give us the project settings.
