How do I disable the player from automatically starting when I insert a DVD?

Hi,
There are 2 things happening when using XP and MF4.
1st - Windows XP is using the "Autoplay" feature. When you insert a CD/DVD into the drive it automatically launches the contents.
That is built-in to the Windows operating system.
2nd - MF4 installs it's own auto-launch feature. I think it's called "Monitor". You can disable that by un-installing it or through it's own software.
XP has utilites called "Tweak-UI" or something like that. You can customize the XP settings and disable/enable the autoplay feature.
Also, another trick using Windows is to "Insert the dvd into the tray" and at the sametime "HOLD DOWN THE LEFT SHIFT KEY".
Keep the shift key held down until all activity stops.
This disables the "Autoplay" feature of the operating system.
Hope this helps,
MD
