Why wont VS9 open a DVD which is a copy of an event taken by a camcorder and put onto disc? A message shows “failed to open DVD report ID Ox80040ff2303”
DVD properties are :- udf file system 3.14 gb files on disc audio_TS no bytes Video_TS 9 files(video_TS.IFO VTS_OI_BUP VTS_01_0_.IFO)
The DVD plays OK in Power DVD but I have to eject the disc via the on screen eject
Button because the disc will not eject via the button on my MSI DVD drive when pressed.

Re: VS9 will not import DVD with udf file system
Somebody just gave me a disc to import and it, too, is a UDF file. Gets to 61 percent, then stops importing. Have to use task manager to close the program.
It is a DVD-R RW. I am thinking the disc may not have been properly formated once the recording was complete. I tried placing it in my stand alone DVD recorder, thinking maybe I could put a 'final format' on it but no can do.
What I am going to have to do now is hook a DVD player up to my computer via RCA cables, play it that way and import it in realtime. The quality my be lowered a bit but at this point I don't have any other choice.
Oops... Forgot to add this is a very old post. I am using X12.

What happens if you copy the disc to your HD? Just curious.

Hi
And if you are able to copy the disc content to your hard drive.?
Re-name the Vob files to use Mpg extension.
Insert Mpg to timeline in the normal way.
