zuha1b,
Ulead has a development kit that you can get for free at http://www.ulead.com/download/sdk.htm that you can use to develop transitions and filters.

Not only 178 transitions, but most of those can be customized. So it's more like hundreds of different transitions

You can also BUY some more from the ulead website.
I purchased the Boris Factory Transitions
http://www.ulead.com/partner/app/boris/factory.htm
and they work with both my Video Studio 9
and
Media Studio 8 applications.
$49.95 or £41.00
or slightly cheaper VFX Flash

Play about with the crop filter on the overlay track.
You can create some interesting "Moving Paths" and make your video appear out of nowhere, grow in from a corner or an edge or even from the centre.
Reverse the effect for it to disappear again.
See my Tutorial here:
http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=8940
Heres a quick demo but take no notice of the content or quality, it was just a couple of small clips that were handy that I just threw together to demonstrate the effect and the quality is low to keep the file size small
I dont have that much web space!!
