video file not indexed

Post by eenie »

I am using ulead video studio 7 and when I try to import a video file that is stored on my computer it said the file is not editable because it is not indexed. I have 10 files in this folder and only two of them have this problem. How can I correct this problem so I can go in and add this video to my movie

What file types are they?
Where did they come from?

I have a small digital video camera and the ulead studio 7 came with it. I uploaded the videos from my camera and put them in a folder on my computer. 7 of the ten videos can be loaded to ulead but three of them say they are not indexed and are not editable.

Can you tell us what you mean by a 'small digital video camera' -- what model is it? And if you know, can you tell us what format it captures in i.e. is it a mini DV camera, using a mini DV cassette? Or does it capture to a mini DVD inside the camera, or even a hard disk? Or (as I fear/suspect) only to a capture card of some sort?
