Only 200 pictures ??
I worked up my first slide show and found that my 500 pictues was to much for the disc to hold?? I ended up with around 200 pictures on the whole show Is there a way to get more. Do I need to resize my pictures ?? If so how do I do that??

Hi,
I don't know which version you're using. The following pertains to Version 4 which is the only one I'm familiar with.
Are you burning the project to CD or DVD?
Make sure you have plenty of working space for you project. Go to File > Preferences > General Tab, and check the location of your "Working Folder". If (for example) it is located on your "C" partitian, you might have a limited amount of available hard disc space. In this case you would want to make a new folder on a partitian or hard drive with more free space (perhaps partitian "D" if available) and change the "Working Folder" destination accordingly. The more space the better, at least 5GB... 10GB or more if possible.
When you are ready to burn your project you can check the exact amount of required / available hard disc space and blank disc space on the Burn tab. Also note that if you have selected additional options such as "Create DVD Folders" or "Create Image File", the amount of required space will increase accordingly. You may need to click the "Show/Hide More Options" button to view these settings. It is located directly to the far right of "Record To Disc" check box.
Lastly, on the bottom left of the Burn tab UI, click the "Options" button. If you are opting to include a set of photos, audio, or video files on your DVD this will increase the amount of necessary space as well.
Let us know if any of this helped.

more pictures in less space
I'm using Pictureshow 2.0 so I don't know if this applies to you but with 2.0 if you use transitions they become little pieces of video on the DVD. When I eliminated them completely the disk usage dropped dropped dramatically implying that there was room for several hundred pictures. I have verified that the burnt file of two shows that are the same except for one having transitions are vastly different sizes.
If you think about it you can see that all the jazzy ways one picture fades or wiggles or whatever to another isn't something a DVD player can do on it's own. It just goes from one picture to the next. The transitions MUST be actual snippets of video.
My question is: Can a single slide show be bigger than 99 pictures that is the limit in 2.0? If so, what is the limit? 999?
Anybody know the answer to this?
