Attributes of an image texture

Post by Greg »

In the attribute panel, if I have a video texture, there is an info button which tells me, amongst other things, the name and location of the video that is being applied, but when I have an image as a texture, there is no button, and I have no idea what image is being used as the texture. Is the any way to find this information?

Regards,
Greg

Hi Greg,

If you choose to import or use one of your own images, you have to browse for that image. You should then know what image you are using. The process is the same with the video, however it does provide an info button so you will know the properties of the video.

If you want to know more info on an image you are going to use, then (in WinXP) you can right click on the image file, select Properties.
Now if you are referring to the images that are in the gallery when you press Show Thumnails, those are proprietary Ulead files (*.UPD). They can be found in Ulead Cool 3D's subfolder Presets.(C:>Program Files>Ulead Systems>Cool 3D Production Studio>lPresets.

Vidoman,
Thanks for the reply, I guess *.upd's are not editable. My question arose from a situation where there is a preset compilation under video frames that has a texture of an image, which I really wanted to change just slightly then re-apply without starting the whole thing from scratch. An 'Export texture' or some such option would have been nice.

Greg
