video clip is not editable because it is not indexed

when I go to load an asf. file it tells me it cannot be edited because it is not indexed. I have loaded several other files from that same folder but three of them cannot be loaded. How do I index a file in a folder so it can be read.

What application are you using and how are you importing the video.

I am using ulead 7.0 and I am trying to import a video from my computer. I have uploaded the videos from my camera to a folder. 3 of the 10 videos I have uploaded can't be loaded to my ulead video studio 7.0 . They are asf files and I wanted to load them and then use the share to change them to mpg files so I can burn them.
