Hi
I was using the trial version of VS9. I bought the full product online and downloaded. I uninstalled the TV and then installed the full version. The license process won't accept my name and reference number that I received from ULead/Element 5. I assume because there are some lingering files from the TV.
Can anyone help?

I wonder if Ulead is doing something different with the licensing of VS9. When I purchased it, ESD with CD Backup, I didn't have to enter my name and license or product key. When it installed I just typed my name in the box, left the Company Name blank, and the Product Key was already entered. In fact I couldn't access that box...
Did you do a complete clean uninstall, or just uninstall from control panel? If the latter, you might do a complete uninstall. The procedure is posted in a couple of threads on this forum.

Hi Ron,
Thanks for your reply.
I uninstalled from the CP. I'll search for the complete uninstall and see how I go.

Thanks Ron,
I followed an earlier advice I received regarding DVDMF4 and adapted to find the installation folder for VS9. Deleted the relevant files and folders and everything seems fine.

Same problem with registering VS9 from Element 5
I also have the same problem with registering VS9. I couldn't understand from the bulleting board how you overcame the registration problem.
The credentials provided by Element 5 are rejected by the registration process. After several e-mails to both Element 5 and Ulead directly, neither seem able to resolve this simple query.
I am seriously thinking of scrapping VS9 and go for a competitor product. This has been such a waste of time and money trying to install VS9.
Who needs this hassle when it is possible to obtain pirate software that does not require registration!!!
:(

It should be a simple process.
Firstly uninstall as per this link:
Re-installation Procedure
Next run the setup.exe file
This will activate a dialog box requesting you to enter your name plus the serial number that has been supplied.
