Mixing capture rates
If I add two clips to my timeline that were captured at different rates, what will the result be?

When you render it will take on the rate specified by you at render time.
If you try to increase quality it remains at the lower level as you cannot put something in that wasn't there to begin with. I would therefore render at the higher rate so that at least one of the clips maintains its present quality.

Longer Time Also
And through recent experience I've found:
depending upon how large the clips/files are, it will take a lot longer to render!!
