Can't Capture Video - Report ID 0x800408ff(2303)

Post by madcadman »

I have been using the trial version of the VS9 and have been relativly satisfied with it. Satisfied enough to purchase it anyway.

This problem has occured now in both the trial and the full version.

When I go to capture video from a DVD I get this message "Failed to Open DVD, Report ID: 0x800408ff(2303)" My DVD player is working fine for viewing DVD's and this program has worked in the past but today, when I am in crunch time it has decided to take a dump on me.

Please help me with this. I feel that I have exhausted all my options and plan to call ULead in the morning, ON THE PHONE. I will be tracking this question this evening and tomorrow morning.

PLEASE HELP ME

Thanks

What type of DVD are you trying to import from? Is it a retail dvd (copy protected), or a home made dvd? If a home made dvd. from a DVD Recorder, or burned to a dvd disc?

Make sure to install the update patches, and uninstall any "packet writing" software.

Try to copy the source dvd to your hard drive, then import from the hard drive dvd folders.
