0xc000142 error with GIF Animator 3.0

I get this error (application failed to initialize) when I start up GIF Animator 3.0

I"ve looked it up and thought it was a Directx problem...upgraded, but it didn't fix the problem-

any ideas? thanks

Ulead GIF Animator 3 you say? My only suggestion would be to upgrade to version 5...

What operating system do you have? Install or do anything just before this trouble started? Any other info you can provide is appreciated.
