Adding Video Files to My Project

Post by slider68 »

Hello All,

Just a quick question, I want to add a couple video files to my project, 1 of them is a mpeg file , and when I try and open the video file it says "contains no video data." The clip does play ok using windows media player,
Any ideas on how or if this could be done.
THanks!
Ted

It is possible the MPEG file header may be corrupt.
Try running it through

VideoReDo
www.videoredo.com

or Womble MPEG Editor
www.womble.com

Hi,

I also have this problem. My mpg file was probably created several years ago with a Dazzle capture card. VS7SE tells me that the file "contains no video data". I tried the suggestions of using VideoRedo and Womble. In both cases the resulting mpg had the same problem when I tried to open it in VS. Both those programs as well as WMP and Moonlight-Elecard MPEG player are all able to play the video. What else can I do?

Thanks,
John

You mention you are using Video Studio 7SE.
Try downloading the 30 day trial version of Video Studio 9 and see if that will handle the file.

Since Windows media player plays the mpeg just fine, here's an idea:

How about using Windows Media Encoder to convert the file to .wmv format, then try inserting the .wmv into Video Studio?
