VS8, Smartsound and Auto Musik

what the hell are Smartsound and Auto Musik.

OK, I played around with Auto Musik, it's really useful to add Music to your film. Where can I get more (buy?) of these AutoMusic Styles ??

I didn't understand what is Smartsound ? is it the same as Auto Music?
how does this work. The Help does not clearly explane what this is?

Auto Music is the tab in the UVS Audio tab that lets you access the SmartSound feature, which is a licensed component. You can go to the SmartSound site to purchase additional or higher-quality (44KHz) audio tracks.

in europe they are available from Datavision.

However the ones they recomend for VS8 are the 22k version. they do not recomend the 44k versions with this software.

By the way the other discs arent that good! I have the movie themes disc.

price per track is expensive.

10 tracks is £23.50 Uk.

David, do you know why they recommend using the 22KHz sampling with UVS? Any DVD that is produced must be upsampled, and the 44KHz versions of the audio would be a better starting point for that.

there are some free updates to the smart sound quick tracks on VS8.
Go to Audio Tab, open up Audio Tab. Click on Smartsound Icon (left
side of the window) a Quick track menu will appear. Click on the Internet
Tab ( you need to be connected to the internet already ) then clikc on
Check for updates... If there are any..they will down load into your computers VS8 program

i spoke to the UK guy and he only recommended 22k with product. their is a bunch of 8 discs that work with it apperently.

Yes i know it should be 44k for audio.

NE way the themes are a tincy wincy bit better than the demos in VS8. At 22k they sound ok not tiny or anything. I only found the movie themes to be half decent. For the price they are expensive!

As a side note these tracks arent totally copyright free! (i had to mention it!) I only found that out when i ordered them as i was asked 20 questions why i wanted them and what for!

Evidently they are only copyright free for personal use. If you intend to set up a business selling edited DVD's you must obtain a commercial license for those tracks!
