making a DVD from a TS stream

Post by JTA »

hello to everyone,
I'm a bit new to the DVD scene so forgive me if I'm asking the obvious (although I don't think so 8) )
I've got quite a lot of TS-streams on my computer which I want to use in the creation of DVD's. TS streams are satellite streams which have video, multiple audio and multiple subtitles in them.
It's the subtitle part which I'm interrested in. I've downloaded a trial version of DVD Workshop 2 to see if it can meet my needs, and if so I'll buy the full verion. I've allready got the video and audio parts working, but it's the subtitling that's bothering me. I can extract the subtitles (page 888) from the TS stream, in several formats, but none seem to be usable in DVD Workshop - looks like they're using a new, own subtitle format :(
Anyone had any experience with this ? Does anyone know how I can use this TS stream in DVD Workshop to extract video, audio AND subtitles onto a new DVD ? Are there any tools to extract or convert the subtitles from TS to DVD Workshop format ? Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated.
