Upgrade Question

Post by everpc »

I've had Photoimpact 5 for years, but I recently upgraded to WinXP, and PI5 only works on one identiy, the other person's version won't open. So I figured I'd upgrade. I suspect that I can't upgrade from 5 to 11, but I'd like to know.

I should add that in pursuit of this information I've spent over two hours searching the site and calling the phone numbers provided. One seems to have a permanent all circuits busy, one had a recording I negotiated to get to a live person and then rang for about three minutes before finally placing me on permahold, and informing me that I was the first person in queue for about 15 mins before I gave up. Tried calling Option5, but they didn't have the info. Tried sending a tech support e-mail, but since you can only register PI8 and above, I wasn't able to register it (though I did years ago when I bought it, it apparently forgot), and so wasn't able to send the tech support request. At this point I'm seriously considering simply changing to some other software, because if I have problems with the actual program and have to go through this much trouble to get an answer, it may not be worth the bother.

At any rate, please let me know which versions can be upgraded with the upgrade option.

Thanks,
Eve

AFAIK you need at least PI6 to upgrade. Otherwise you have to buy full version.

Have you tried running it with RunAs option, specifying credentials of the person that can run PI? (RMB on PI icon and select Run As)..
