I have a movie I've complete which is about 1hr 37min from start to finish. I edited the movie and added music using Media Studio Pro 7. The .avi file which I created in MSP7 seems to be fine, I can watch the movie using Windows Media and all the audio portions are fine.
I've setup my DWS2Express project and created my menus, added music to my menus and all seems to be fine. On the Finish tab, I can play the entire DVD and all the music seems to be there with no problem.
When I initially attempted to burn the DVD, I got the "Operation Aborted" error. I rebooted my machine, cleared some hard drive space and tried again. I know that it takes some time to convert and burn the dvd so I started the process and went off to do other things.
When I returned, I thought I had a finished DVD. Once I popped the DVD into the player, it all looked fine at first. As I moved from chapter to chapter, 6 in total, I noticed that the final three chapters have no audio portion.
After reading some postings about the "operation aborted" error, I burned the project to a DVD Folder instead of to disk with the same result, no audio portion on the final 3 chapters.
Has anyone had this problem before? Is it a problem with the .avi file size?
Missing audio track on burned DVD
Both of the "operation aborted" and lost-audio problem could be caused by corrupted AVI files. I have no idea where the corruption is coming from... I have no idea why Ulead is so intolerant of slightly corrupt files...
My personal experience with corrupted files has been with MPEGs, not AVIs. In every case the files played-back perfectly, but the sneaky-corruption caused problems when the files were re-rendered or re-multiplexed.

I"m going to try a few things tonight when I get home.
Yesterday I had read a post here, where the user solved his problem by switching the audio format to Dolby Digital. I tried that last night and burned a new DVD Folder to no avail, same problem.
Before I make my next statement, let me inform you that, there are 5 .avi files which I edited together to make the final version of the movie. Tonight, I will try to burn the 5 different .avi files and see what the results are. I'm even going to change the order to ensure that it is the final burn which is the problem and not the .avi files.

Update:
I created a new project as suggested, took the individual .avi files which make up my finished movie and put them in as seperate titles.
I then burned a DVD Folder for playback on the desktop using the Ulead DVD Player. I checked every chapter and the audio seems to be present for all.
The change I made was burning it as High Quality Dolby Digital AC-3. I went back to my original project and I'm attempting to burn a DVD Folder using High Quality Dolby Digital AC-3. If this works, my problem will have been solved.
