PC tuner card Direct to disk

Post by The Old Timer »

I recently got a Compro VideoMate DTB-T300 PC tuner card what has analogue in that captures video directly in MPEG2. I notice that DVD MF4 has this direct to disk featute. I'm guessing that I could perhaps send the signal from the tuner card directly to DVD MF4's direct to disk faeture.

If this is possible I assume that this route might be quicker than saving the video to the hard drive first then converting it to go onto a disk. Has anyone any details about using this feature? Would the quality of the end disk be exactly the same?

i dont think there is a difference with the quality between Direct to Disc and the normal MovieFactory authoring process. it will depend on the quality/format you will choose to capture and burn the videos.

if you want to simply transfer videos to disc, direct to disc is probably what you need. personally, i feel much comfortable doing the "long method" because it allows me to fine tune the project.
