Capture problems

I have problems with capturing the video from a Sony MicroMV cam.
When I capture the movie the sound is not in sync with the movie.

I tried all the suggestions from technical support like DMA settings, Virtual Memory settings and the harddrive space setting in VS8.

Does anyone has some suggestions.

What are your video capture properties, computer specs, and capture interface connection? How are you viewing the captured video - instant playback after capture or during capture?

Hi,

The properties are the standard capture properties I only changed the metric for the drive to the highest available space.

PC is is a P4 3GHZ, 1GB internal memory, 200 GB hardrive 7200RPM, 80 GB harddrive 7200rpm, 128 mb Video card(radeon 9700)

Capture interface connection is Firewire.

I capture with instant playback during capture.

I willo try tonight to capture with instant playback after capture maybe that will work.

Can we assume you checked and made sure that you have selected 'MicroMV' as the capture plug-in? (In VS 8, click on'Tools' in the upper right of screen, then 'Change Capture Plug-in'.)

It recognize it.
And it is using MicroMV.
