Timing of photos/music

Hi all

I'm wanting to produce a DVD that can just be put in a DVD player and will play a sequence of photographs alongside a piece of music. I want the pictures to change at precise times within the music. For example, midway through the song, there are some lyrics that relate specifically to one particular picture and I'd like the timing to co-incide accordingly.

I have dabbled with Ulead® CD & DVD PictureShow 4 to try and achieve this but, each time I play what I've produced through the PC, the timing seems to vary slightly so it's very hit and miss.

Now, I think someone mentioned that this could be done more accurately with Flash... is this the case or will I experience the same problems on playback? Are there other methods I could use?
